Refugee Issues Training

Imagine an almost 100% interactive and experiential learning opportunity! It's called our Cross Cultural and Refugee Issues Training.

We use hands-on activities to explain who refugees are, how they get to the United States, and what help they receive when they arrive. We also help you recognize your own cultural perspective and learn the tools you need to build strong friendships with refugees from other cultural backgrounds.

Either training is the first step to becoming a New Neighbor volunteer (visiting a newly arrived refugee family once a week  for a 3 month commitment) but all are welcome.
