A devastating civil war is ravaging the Sudan. Over 3.5 million Sudanese risk starvation, 2.5 million are displaced from their homes, and nearly half a million have lost their lives to violence according to statistics cited by SaveDarfur.org from the World Food Program, the United Nations, and the Coalition for International Justice. The United Nations has declared that genocide is taking place in the Sudan.
Darfur residents trapped by the war at home are dependent on those few who have safely made it out of the country to speak on their behalf. Exodus World Service has a close relationship with many Sudanese refugees and they asked us for help. We are providing a platform for their voices to be heard. By reaching out to concerned citizens, Sudanese refugees hope to create a movement that encourages the United States government, the United Nations, and other peacekeeping teams to end the genocide in Darfur.
